Our EPOXY Resins

Our Epoxy Resins

The different physical, chemical, and electrical properties make epoxy resins a material of choice for application in electrical engineering and electronics.

Our Epoxy Resins are distinguished by the following properties:

  • Thermal resistance.
  • Resistance to thermal shock.
  • Penetration (wettability).
  • Hanging property.
  • Resistance to chemical agents.
  • Self-extinguishing.
  • Thermal conductivity by adding appropriate fillers.

Health and Safety

Epoxy resins do not exhibit any particular toxicity character. However, we recommend that you operate in a ventilated room and avoid any contact with the skin.

Refer to the CRAM brochure for the use of epoxy resins and their hardeners.

Preparing the resin

  • Epoxy resins are usually presented as two reacting components either at room temperature or hot.
  • Optionally preheat the resin to around 50 ° C, to suppress the phenomenon of crystallization due to cold.
  • Homogenize the charges by slowly mechanical stirring at the bottom of the pot, in order to avoid the inclusion of air (eliminate settling of the charges).
  • Add the hardener in the proportions indicated in the table and homogenize by slow mechanical stirring, taking care to avoid air inclusions.

Implementation of the resin

Depending on the type of resin and depending on its use, it is recommended:

  • Preheat the parts to remove moisture and promote resin penetration by reducing viscosity.
  • Pour the resin at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.
  • In certain cases, to optimize the characteristics of the resin, the implementation can be carried out under vacuum, in particular in the case of high voltage equipment. The absence of solvents makes it possible to work at high voids (a few mbar)

Caution regarding hardener

  • Due to the chemical properties of the hardener, we recommend not to leave it in contact with air for too long, because of its sensitivity to humidity, close the packaging well after use.

Storage conditions

  • Three to six months depending on the product in its original closed packaging, away from direct sunlight, from a heat source (
